Two legal traditions, one team

Our firm combines experience from both common law and civil law jurisdictions. The Singapore practice is led by a lawyer who has been admitted there for four decades, while the Dili practice is led locally by a Portuguese-qualified partner with more than two decades of experience. Two of our partners hold appointments in both offices, allowing matters involving both legal systems to be handled seamlessly within the same firm, with continuity and coordination.

Elsa is a leading lawyer in Timor-Leste, known for her expertise in corporate and commercial law as well as complex litigation. With more than 20 years of experience since her admission to the Portuguese Bar Association, her career spans private practice, public defence and in-house counsel. Since joining Wong Alliance in 2025 he has built his practice across commercial, employment, mining, private investment and civil law.
