Practice
Since joining Wong Alliance in 2025 as a trainee lawyer and obtaining his professional licence to practise law, João has continued to develop and strengthen his legal knowledge and practical experience in criminal law, commercial law, employment law, mining law, private investment law, and civil law.
Court experience
João served for six years as a Court Officer in the Criminal Section of the Dili District Court, where he gained practical experience mostly in judicial criminal procedures, case management, court operations, and the functioning of Timor-Leste’s justice system.
Education and training
João Bosco da Silva Pinto holds dual degrees in Education from the National University of Timor-Leste (UNTL), completed in 2016, and Law from Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ), completed in 2022.
In 2026, João completed professional training at the Legal and Judicial Training Centre (CFJJ), graduating as the top trainee.
